Cooperation between Personnel Certification System of USNDT and RSNDT&TD
European Federation of Non-Destructive Testing (EFNDT) pays much attention to harmonisation in the spheres of Certification for NDT personnel. 26 national NDT Societies from different European countries have signed an agreement on mutual recognition of Certification Schemes. The objectives of this agreement are the following:
The regular meeting of EFNDT Board of Directors discussing questions of harmonisation and mutual recognition of Certification Schemes took place on March 26, 2004 in Moscow during the 3-rd International Exhibition and Conference "NDT in Industry". Within the framework of fulfilling EFNDT recommendations, Russian and Ukrainian societies for NDT set their course for integrating their schemes of voluntary certification aimed on mutual recognition of NDT personnel Certificates by the two countries. For recognising Certification schemes of Ukrainian NDT Society, the Certification Centre of USNDT has taken the procedure of recognition and got Accreditation Certificate No. 18 of March 19, 2004 (see central inset of the Bulletin) confirming that the Personnel Certification Body of USNDT has passed the procedure of recognition in conformity with GÎSŇ R 51000.9-97 requirement and regulations of the System of voluntary Personnel Certification in NDT in conformity with standards GOST 30489, EN 473, ISO 9712 at Levels I, II, III according to 7th NDT methods in twelve manufacturing sectors.
